Japandi House

simplicity meets sophistication in small-space living

This full-home renovation in Vancouver reimagined a traditional family home through a modern Japandi lens, balancing clean lines, warmth, and functionality within a compact footprint.

Designed for a couple downsizing from a larger residence, the project focused on creating purposeful flow and multi-use zones to support their new lifestyle, dual home offices, flexible guest spaces, and an entertainer’s kitchen, all without sacrificing comfort or style.

Every detail was considered, from integrated storage and layered lighting to serene textures that evoke calm and spaciousness.

Completed over a six-month period, the result is a grounded, inviting home that feels both refined and deeply livable, a testament to how thoughtful design can turn constraints into clarity.
